The focus at The MuscleCar Guys is on quality, detail, and efficiency. The quality of our work product can be seen in the satisfaction of our customers. We don’t just “say” it, they prove it. Some restoration shops have an attitude that says “It’s good enough.” Our company believes that attention to detail is what separates us from the rest. And, by doing the monotonous research before beginning the restoration, we are able to maximize our productivity to give you what you deserve in a timely manner.
Even though we have the ability and capacity to do virtually anything car related, all we do is classic car repair and restoration. Your vehicle will never become a lower priority behind a line of brake jobs, oil changes, or collision work. For us, it’s about doing what we love, and not about the almighty dollar. We know that by being the best at a vocation we are passionate about the money always takes care of itself: our reputation and referral rate proves it.
We strive for quality in both the parts and products we use on your classic car repair or restoration, as well as our absolute attention to detail. While there are some “good” reproduction parts available, our preference is to use either NOS (New Old Stock) or good, original pieces that are properly restored with the correct platings, finishes, etc. You will not find “Rattle Can” restorations here.
While paint work pricing may vary depending on certain options such as stripes, jambs, or an overall color change, it is a set number from the start. However, we will not know the full extent of metal or body work needed until the car is stripped down to bare metal. That, as well as all other work, is billed on an hourly basis. Our experience will give us a good idea on the overall time and cost, but we can not give an exact estimate. But, what our customers appreciate about our work is that we are fair, honest, and we do exactly what we say we will do, and in the time we say we will do it.
Unfortunately we hear all too often of car repair and restoration shops keeping a car for what seems (to us) to be an eternity to see the restoration to completion. That is not how we operate. We believe that a classic car repair and restoration company that would keep your car in their possession for 18 months, or 2 years, or even longer simply does not have the customer’s best interest at heart. Even 50 or 60 years ago --- when they were producing these cars on an assembly line --- they could build hundreds and thousands of cars in one day. Surely a classic car repair and restoration professional can take one apart and put it back together again is a timely manner… that’s what WE do.
