Meet "Blue." This is a type of Camaro you don't see very often.
He has been owned and adored by the same family since the early 1970's. He rolled off the Norwood assembly line in September of 1969 with only a handful of options.
- 307 / TH350
- Power Steering
- Center Console
- 14x6 Rally Wheels
- Z21 Style Trim Package
That's all. And aside from a much-needed front Power Disc Brake conversion that was performed a couple of years prior to the resto and a set of Cragars, that is how he was restored. No added stripes, spoilers, cowl induction hood, gauges, etc. He still retains the full numbers-matching drivetrain. As you will see in the pics, the outer sheetmetal was in very poor shape due to bumps, bruises, and less-than-stellar paint/body work over the years, but the floors and structures were in pretty good shape.
Most cars like Blue end up being badged as Z28 or Super Sports, or become Hot Rods. He is the "Anti-Clone," and is the most enjoyable build we've had.
